Time for the ACM-NE Region 12th Annual Video Contest

Without a doubt, the summer has had a very soggy start here in the Northeast. One positive aspect of the endless dreary wet days is that we're really getting a lot of stuff done. One of my big projects in the next couple of weeks is kicking off the 12th (can you believe it?) Annual Video Contest. Every year we get more entries, which is a wonderful thing. So this year, we're trying something new to make ourselves more efficient and save time. Our Entry Form is going on-line!

Yes, that's right - on-line entry. You'll be able to fill in your entry on-line, pay with a credit card if you wish (or a check if you want), get a number to mark your DVD, and then ship it down to us. It'll save us from inputting all that data, and you'll be sure to get your name right on the winner's plaque. A good deal all around.

Keri Stocksted is working on the logistics for this and we should be sending out the call for entries soon. Keep an eye out for it on our website and in your email box. We'll send it out electronically to the list serves, the entrants from last year, and the ACM list. Plus, if you're on our Constant Contact email list, you'll get it that way, too.

The awards ceremony will be held in West Hartford, CT on November 7th. More details about the event will follow, but we're planning workshops during the day and a great evening event that will highlight the wonderful work that our access producers do.

Now, with all of this advanced notice, you'll have lots of time to copy your best shows, fill in your entry forms, and then relax at the beach. If the sun ever comes out!
